Carrots are the best source for Vitamin A out of all vegetables. It's sweet, it's crunchy, it's bright-colored, it's mesmerizing! But with all the nutrients provided by carrots, of course there's some catch. If you don't boil it properly, you'll pour all the nutrients down the sink! Still not sure how to do it? Here are tips and tricks to get you through it.
1. Chop it in same, uniform sizes
Make sure you cut your carrot in same, uniform sizes. This makes sure your carrot is cooked thoroughly and properly. Putting it in different sizes will make your carrots cooked differently, resulting in different taste, texture, and aroma. Just, don't do it, pleaze.
2. Put your stove on highest setting
2. Put your stove on highest setting
Putting your stove on the highest setting will make the outer layer of your carrots delicious, but still rich in nutrient inside! remember, boiling carrots will make it lose most of its nutrients, so why not get both delicious and nutritious with this simple step?
3. Add salt, or broth, for taste
Adding salt onto your liquid whether it's water, broth or whiskey (just kidding) will make things 10x better. The local carrots here has gingery taste to it, adding salt and powdered broth removes away any strange odor and taste. You can add garlic, spring onions, or olive oil into it, too.

4. Don't wait until your water boils
Just put your carrots ASAP. Putting it onto the liquid first while waiting for the liquid to boil will make the carrots absorb its taste. I did this with broth and now it smells like chicken! (cooked one).
5. Don't cook it for too long
Again, cooking it for too long will make the carrots lose most of its nutrients. Cook it for 2 minutes after boiling and you'll get that perfect, crunchy, nutritious carrot.
